A family-run fish restaurant based in Brixham – providing 100% locally caught fresh seafood
Sarah and Sean Perkes founded Shoals of Brixham in 2015 after many years experience in the Brixham fishing industry. Situated directly above the historically famous ‘Lido’ outdoor swimming pool Shoals enjoys breathtaking panoramic views across the Bay to Torquay and beyond. On a warm summers evening there is no better place to enjoy an evening meal on the outside terrace watching the setting sun with a glass of your favourite tipple.
In the summer of 2022 we opened a roof top terrace area where we often serve freshly made to order sea food on a outdoor grill served directly to your table. We also offer meat and vegetarian options as an alternative to our delicious seafood.
Sean, Sarah and the Perkes family are very much ‘sustainability aware’ and provide top quality fresh fillets, scallop meat and a wide range of fish to discerning customers throughout the UK and Europe. They are fortunate enough to have trawlers landing quality seafood directly to the local fish market. The family are also buying daily from ports situated along the Southwest coastline.
With an easily accessible car park only footsteps from the restaurant you don’t have too far to walk from your vehicle to find us.

Love this place. Worth the 200+ miles drive from Kent.

Loved it! Came here on a cold November evening and was very pleasantly surprised with the ambience and quality of food. Yaya the chef was cheery and the food was delicious, served by friendly staff. I will return

This is primarily a fish restaurant, the quality of the fish is second to none in what is the most demanding place in Britain to compete as a fish restaurant.
I had whole Dover sole and it was as good as it gets, shoals always exceeds the mark for quality, and of course it all is landed in Brixham.
Do not miss this opportunity to try fish at its very best.

The food was absolutely delicious with a great variety of choice. The staff so friendly and helpful with Wonderful ambience and the view spectacular. The price stated included two bottles of wine and three courses.
